With Hershey we have him in a half bathroom in our house.
With the dog you could have them sleep with you they should be completely house broken unless you want an accident in your bed, or your dog isn't house broken and he sleeps with you sleep good.
IF the dog doesn't sleep with you need the essentials like puppy pads, bed, lots of food, and lots of toys.
You need puppy pads so they can be eventually be house broken.
You need a bed so they can sleep comfortably and have a good night and take adorable little dog naps.
You need food and lots of it and for ways to feed your dog properly just go to my blog "New puppy feeding" on my homepage.
You need they toys so they can stay entertained while your away because when dogs are left alone they get so stressed waiting for you to come back and that's when they start messing things up and chewing on your slippers.
So that is my advice on your new puppy's living quarters.
